Jinghong Zhang is a composer, multi-media electroacoustic music performer, and conductor of Chinese origin. As
a multi-instrument virtuoso and a unique dancer who frequently expands creative expression through the use of
technology, Jinghong is a dynamic and sensitive performer with the ability to evoke profound emotion. Jinghong’s
collaborations encompass a wide range of live performance with interactive electronics, orchestra and interdisciplinary
presentations throughout the United States and overseas. Bold, adventurous with extraordinary passion for bringing
something unprecedented and groundbreaking through multimedia music to the performance art world, is Jinghong’s
primary artistic ambition.
Jinghong is the winner of 2nd Prize in 2022 Petrichor International Composition Competition, Kent Kennan Endowed Fellowship in Music Composition, 2nd Prize in Beijing International Electroacoustic Music Festival Composition Competition, 2nd Prize in Shanghai International Digital Music Competition, Jacobs School of Music Artistic Excellence Fellowship, Volunteer Theme Song Award of 2011 FISU World University Games, among others. His interdisciplinary electroacoustic music works have been performed numerous times in major Electroacoustic Music conferences, festivals and workshops around U.S. and overseas, including France, China and Greece. The performances of his works include concerts in Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, Rice University, UNT College of Music, The Palladium at St. Petersburg College, University of Alabama, Winspear Performance Hall, Buskirk-Chumley Theater and Fine Art Museum in Indiana University among others. His works have been performed in major music festivals and conferences such as SEAMUS, New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival, IRCAM Manifeste, ICMC, Electronic Music Midwest, LaTex Electroacoustic Music Festival, NSEME Electroacoustic Music Conference, SMC Electroacoustic Music Conference, SSC Electroacoustic Music Conference, Cicada Consort Conference, Beijing International Electronic Music Festival and so on.

Jian Liu, Jian Feng, Xunfang Huang and Xi Zhao. And he has been studied conducting with David Dzubay and Douglas Kinney Frost.
